  1. I just got mine today. As soon as I get over my cold I can't wait to try them out. I've been out of commission for almost three weeks or more because the dance floor at my local Y has gotten sticky over the summer months. After popping my knee, I was too done with going to that class. Now that I've got my dance socks, I'm so excited to literally get back in the groove!

    1. Hi Deb! We are excited for you to use them too! We recommend trying them at home first to get used to the feel or get to class a few minutes early to test placement. Keep us posted on how it goes. Happy Dancing!

    1. That's a very good question and thanks for asking. The DanceSocks are not designed for carpet but for smooth surfaces like wood, marley, etc. Carpet varies in height and texture and we just can't guarantee they will work for that purpose. We are working on a solution so please stay tuned!

  3. This is a great idea! I will be getting a pair immediately. I wear the Bloch dance shoe - which isn't really the best, but it slides on the floor for zumba. I'd love to wear my regular workout shoes and be able to move without the strain on my knees. I workout 6x a week at zumba so it's definitely worth it to have great arch support! hooray for these

  4. Love this idea, but where I do Zumba it is carpet. I hurt my knee about a month ago. Wish you could come up with these for carpet, maybe using something like the furniture sliders?just a thought.

  5. Hi, was just wondering if these could be used on a rubberized gym floor. Just joined a new gym and its very difficult to do Zumba with this type of floor. You get stuck to the floor and can't move freely.

    1. Hi Brigitte! If it is a hard rubber like marley, yes they will work. Some softer, textured rubber floors respond more like carpet so it is hard to say for sure since they are all different. We've had people buy them and use them for similar floors with success. If the floor is really sticky we would suggest stretching the socks to cover as much of the sole from the toe to the arch for more coverage. Please keep us posted if you decide to try them and we hope they can help!

  6. Will these work on smoothed concrete floors?

    1. Yes, The DanceSocks will work on on polished, smooth concrete. They won't work on rough, course concrete like a sidewalk.

  7. What keeps them from making the shoes like ice skates if you say...jump on the balls of your feet or you go for that pivot with the front leg...what keeps you from sliding into the splits??

    1. You are in complete control. The amount of coverage will vary depending on dance style and flooring. They can be stretched or folded and will stay in place anywhere you place them. For high impact classes with lots of jumps we recommend starting with them pulled further onto your sneakers exposing more toe for additional grip.
